Are Howdens Kitchens Any Good

In the last year, i have fitted about 11 kitchens, 9 of them howdens and 2 magnet trade. To all that might be buying a kitchen from howdens, they have an industrial problem with the doors on a massive scale of there doors failing bubbling coatings and colour fading my friends are on the 3rd set of doors now and they have bubbled on 4 different doors and plinths howdens had offered to change the doors in writing but when my friends stated there concerns about the next set not looking right with the.

I have now given up on ikea kitchens and steer customers away from them. Ikea are cheap rubbish in my experience that often arrive with bits missing. Carcases are good and prices are very competitive.

I've heard them mentioned a few times in passing and am thinking of getting them to supply the cabinets as well as the appliances. They don't work out any dearer and offer a. Howdens are ok, but nothing special.quality similar to b+q (not nearly as rubish to deal with though), maybe not as good as ikea as they use good quality drawers and hinges these days. Its because howdens will only deal with trade customers ,hence the builder will always mark up the cost of the kitchen he orders, and then will pass on the cost to you.your builder will make a good cut out of your kitchen.mine has tried to get me to order one of their kitchens about 20 times so far which has totally put me off howdens kitchens.i hate the fact that i don't know the actual price even though i. The kitchens are fairly standard and a good fitter will make the difference, just remember that your issue is with whoever has supplied and fitted the kitchen and it's up to them to deal with howdens to rectify any issues.

We would recommend howdens to all. It’s not thrown a single issue since the day we installed it. Because howdens held stock in the local warehouse and made their own units they were able to supply out of stock items within days. Our first flat had a howdens kitchen and we were impressed with the beating it took over the years (!) but we didn’t let this get in the way of a getting a good deal, if it meant getting a similar quality for a better price, so we gave ikea kitchens and b&q kitchens some real consideration too.
